UNIVERSITY GARDENS PROPERTY OWNERS ASSOCIATION

The ‘Added’ Meeting of the Board of University Gardens Property Owners Association was called to order at 6:00 PM on Friday, July 26, 2024, by Board President, Kathleen Levine.

THE AGENDA FOR THE MEETING WAS DISTRIBUTED VIA EMAIL AND UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED.

A FINANCIAL UPDATE WAS GIVEN AT THE MEETING.

IV. New and Continuing Business

GAS LINE FOR THE POOL HEATERS

·       National Grid will be installing the new gas line on Tuesday, July 30^th. The pool will be closed in the morning. We will try to open it later in the day if all work by National Grid has been completed. An email will be sent to the residents.

PLUMBER QUOTE - John P Ciccarella - JPC Plumbing & Heating, Inc.

·       GAS WORK: Furnish all necessary labor, materials, tools and equipment as follows:

o   Cut and remove all existing gas piping located by the pool equipment mechanical room. Rough and Install (1) 800,000 or 1,000,000 BTU Gas meter header. Rough and Install new 2" gas piping from the gas meter to (2) existing pool heaters and hook-up. Furnish (1) gas piping Pressure test. Furnish all applicable Town of North Hempstead plumbing permit fee (BILLED SEPARATELY) and plumbing inspections.

·       This estimate is contingent upon the Town of North Hempstead new plumbing and or pool equipment code enforcement.

o   TOTAL LABOR/ MATERIALS PRICE = 6,975.00

o   ADD ALTERNATE #1: Furnish all necessary labor, materials, tools and equipment as follows:

o   Furnish and Install (2) 4" x 7' b vent exhaust piping on (2) existing pool heater exhaust piping.

o   ADD ALTERNATE TOTAL LABOR/ MATERIALS PRICE: $1,275.00

ADDITIONAL QUOTES FOR PLUMBING

·       Sunny will ask his plumber for a quote regarding the gas work.

PERMITS

·       As soon as National Grid installs the line, our plumber will file for a permit and begin work.

CAMERAS AT THE POOL

·       The Board has purchased cameras for the pool deck, the pool, the playground, the tennis courts, and the parking lot.

·       One of our residents has graciously installed them.

·       Monitoring of the cameras will be by Board members only.

The meeting was adjourned at 6:45 PM.
