IV. New

SUBDIVISION OF 74 WENSLEY DRIVE, GREAT NECK NY 11020
· The UG Board
unanimously voted to oppose the subdivision of 74 Wensley Drive into 3 parcels.
· The
Board is studying the legal ramifications of the proposed subdivision of 74
Wensley Drive into three lots, each about 67 feet wide. Further legal action
may follow.
· The
Board will be circulating a petition to the Nassau Planning Commission (NCPC)
in opposition to this narrow sub-division as out of character and harmful to
the community. We call on all residents to sign it.
· Board
members will attend the hearing at the NPC, 1550 Franklin Ave, Mineola at 10
a.m., Thursday May 2. We call on residents -- especially those who live near
the property -- to attend the hearing to oppose the proposed subdivision.
V. Continuing
Business
SEWER/DRAINAGE
AT POOL – Johnny Drain
·
Cleaned out receiver in street - removed roots/debris
in front of 9 Sussex Road.
·
Recorded video in receiver in front of 9
Sussex Road - noticed blockage – cleared again.
·
Recorded video from mechanical room to
receiver - stopped at 27 feet – obstruction.
·
Cost - $950
·
Will return on Saturday, April 27th
to water jet the pipe and clear blockage leading from the ‘pump’ room to the
receiver.
·
Cost will be an additional $900.
GAS METER AT POOL
·
We will need to replace the gas meter at
the pool – National Grid removed it upon learning about construction at the
pool
·
The underground, metal gas pipe which
runs from the old meter to the pump room cannot be recertified.
·
We will need a new line to replace the
old line.
·
National Grid may not be able to install
a new gas line to the ‘pump’ room in time for the pool opening. We are therefore looking for an approved
vendor that does high pressure work
·
The Board is considering installing an
electric ‘on demand’ water heater at the ‘bath’ house if the cost of refitting
the gas pipes to the new meter at the ‘bath’ house is too costly.
VI. Date and Time of next meeting
THE NEXT MEETING WILL BE HELD ON

The meeting was
adjourned at 10:20 AM.
